Solid Waste
REGION F SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
The Region F Solid Waste District has carried out numerous successful projects. These are mostly in the areas of education, recycling, composting, household hazardous waste collections, tire recycling, electronics waste (e-waste) collection and assistance to small recycling businesses. The Region F Solid Waste Management District provides grant funds to local governments, private businesses, not-for-profit organizations and individuals for implementing waste reduction, reuse and recycling projects.
The Region F District, comprised of Morgan, Saline, Pettis, Johnson and Lafayette and all cities therein, receives funds from the Missouri Solid Waste Management Fund to reduce the amount of waste entering our landfills. Our Education department is available for on-site visits to your school or organization to do a presentation on recycling and Illegal Dumping at no cost.
