Crooked Creek Watershed
Our Missouri Waters is a statewide water policy effort aimed at supporting MDNR’s transition toward a more coordinated, holistic and collaborative watershed approach. The Department recognizes that solutions to the complex challenges related to water quality and quantity require more strategic planning and resources allocation. Lower Missouri-Crooked has been selected as a focus watershed for 12 months in 2015-2016. The four primary objectives are:
1) To gather and present a comprehensive compilation of information about the watershed to all stakeholders with interests in each watershed, with an emphasis toward water resources.
2) To identify, assemble and engage watershed representatives with the following objectives:
a. To discuss information known about the watershed
b. To reach agreement on watershed priorities
c. To document agreed upon goals/next steps for each priority
3) To present a Healthy Watershed Plan with recommended next steps.
