The Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Commission (PTRPC) was created by the Regional Planning and Community Development Act of 1966. The PTRPC is comprised of local units of government within Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis and Saline counties. Since its inception, the Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Commission has provided professional planning services and technical assistance to its members through community-based planning efforts, regional collaboration, cooperation and coordination between the public and private sectors, and the pursuit of economic development opportunities.
